Arkady's life had never been the same since the accident. A victim of circumstance with no one to blame. The place he once called home had been turned upside down, turned into a strange, alien place he can't even recognize. Now, he wanders, doing odd jobs and taking bounties just to keep food on his plate. Please note: Some characters and events in this story are inspired by or parody existing works and their characters. Any resemblance is intentional and meant purely for creative or critical purposes.

Ever since the Anthros' arrival to settle in and make lives for themselves among the Monsters, Newer Home slowly continued welcoming new Anthro faces. A couple being new faces, though many would be family members reuniting with one another at long last. Some more so for the better than others. Many Anthro families have yet to be made whole again, while the reunion of families proves to only prompt more questions to these family mysteries. Mysteries both of family members who have found each other, and mysteries around lost and missing family links-and all are mysteries the Anthros are willing to uncover.

Kyle Drakeson.. was just your average 21-year-old guy stuck at a dead end. His barista-slash-janitor job at a small café was about to vanish forever, leaving him stranded in a world that didn't seem to have room for him. Rejections piled up like unwashed dishes, and Kyle was ready to call it quits for the day. Then his phone buzzed. An email, from a company one he had never heard of before, LAMINAX Laboratories. They were urgently seeking hires, and there it is, the janitor role. The pay looked solid, and cleaning was the one thing Kyle could confidently say he was good at. Sure, the email felt strange. The lab was remote. Isolated. Sketchy, even. But for a guy who had lost too much already, the temptation to take the leap was too strong. Would Kyle reply to the offer and unknowingly set foot into a place of nightmares, or play it safe and keep his life normal? Your average person named Jake is in need of a job, badly so. He was fired from his last one, and to make things worse, it didn't even have a good pay. He is trying to get enough money to at least live in an apartment on his own, so he'll do anything to get money. Just when he thought things wouldn't work out for him, he found an email from a place called 'Laminax Laboratories'. He ponders for a few seconds before clicking on the email. It was offering him a job, where he performs tests on..'animals'. Despite the obvious red flags, he took the scientist position. Only time will tell what happens to him. While the security of their freedom hasn't always seemed sure, having Sophie Grant as a human ally has been invaluable-along with support from Asgore and the Monsters of Newer Home. Anthros slowly begin coming out of hiding as more hear things through the grape vine. What follows is a need that becomes blaringly obvious. A need for proper resources to help the transition of living a normal, fear-free, and settled life. Sophie has always done what she's needed to help the Anthros, and this time will be no different than any other. Determined as always, she starts the plans on her new project.
