Instead , they gain a supernatural ability, but every time they use it, they permanently lose a memory. The more powerful the ''Echo'' , the more precious the memory it costs . In response to the Echo virus pandemic, the world government formed the Mnemosyne Special Tactics division - an elite, shadowy force that polices Echo-related incidents. They are the only legal entity authorized to use Echoes in the field. To the public,they are heroes who contain Hallow outbreaks and take down dangerous Mnemos ( Term for criminal echo users). Internally , they are a military organization with a singular motto: ''The Mission is the Only Memory That Matters.'' Echo-users who have used their power so much they've lost their core identity are called '' Hallows '' . They are functionally powerful , but are they even people? They might speak in fragments of their lost memories. Echo abilities can vary from Telekenisis, precognition, teleportation , pyrokinesis and many others.

Now, Nathan and his friends must go through a perilous journey to save both the people of The Mind and Real Worlds, battling Demon Beasts, villains, and even Angels and Deities, all while wearing crowns of hatred from those around them. ***** Despite how the synopsis sounds, the MC isn't necessarily a super nice or naïve person. He's nice but is far from a pushover. This doesn't mean that he's a cold-hearted person either. However, his character goes through various changes throughout the story due to the experiences he gains on his journey. Sometimes he may seem really nice while other times he may seem downright evil. It's up to the reader to determine for themselves if his actions are justified. The update schedule is not completely secured due to how busy I am. I used to post 7 chapters a week but now it's down to 3 chapters. I will notify readers once I am able to write more chapters again. This book is filled with great amounts of action and lovable characters. In a world where -nope not starting it off with that. This is your basic, cookie cutter world with your average fantasy yet dystopian-esque place with themes of steampunk & sci-fi. You got your handy dandy humans that somehow are more advanced than other races. On the other side of the ring you got the totally original elves that totally are original with their despising interbreeding & races not being in their designated continents due to their very traditional & spiritual mindset. Next up, we got the generic Unicorns that narcissistically involve themselves in other races affairs by translating both recipients languages via their magical horn. Then we got the 4 mighty spirits that each are sworn to protect their designated conti- alright you get the point, not that special. What does make the unoriginal world meager is the chaos surrounding it. Added to Eco who knows how long ago, something had arrived in Eco which shouldn't have. Something that could bloom or doom the world. Here here, that something is a set of 100 powers randomly given to any 100 vessels within any of the years in a 100 year time period. This vessel selection is completely unbiased, unpredictable, uncontrollable, unbelievable. Some view this as a monstrosity, a catalyst for the world's destruction. Others view this as a happy accident, a blessing from some divine being. No matter who you are - human, elf, giant, goliath, mermaid, yeti, unicorn, manticore, even the supposedly unbiased spirits- you have or will pick a side: for times are changing.

This story is About a kid named Jake and his journey on becoming a anti-villain but there are sooo many obstacles on the way. I say anti-villain because he doesn't have the usual morals if you know what I mean.*wink,wink*
