Antigone Stories

So basically, in my English class we had to write a fanfic on Antigone. I thought it was kinda funny (but also kinda stupid), so why not publish it?

A tragic and introspective monologue from the Prince of Thebes, who confronts his father Creon's pride and tyranny. Torn between duty, love, and justice, he grapples with despair, the moral decay of his city, and the helplessness of watching Antigone face her fate, revealing the devastating consequences of unchecked power.

"We Were Gone" is a modern retelling of Sophocles' drama "Antigone" set in a posh prep school in Bel Air. The heroine Antigone is now a high school junior named Annie who takes the administration of Thebes Academy head-on when her two older brothers get into a fight at school. When one brother is expelled but the other is not, Annie decides she must stand up and speak out. Like its forebear, "We Were Gone" is a coming-of-age story of rebellious youth, family conflict, and civil disobedience.

When her brothers Eteocles and Polyneices are killed in a battle for the kingship, her uncle Creon, the new ruler, allows one to be buried, while the other is condemned to the battlefield. If anyone buried him, they went against the king. Antigone couldn't let this go. Nothing good could come of this.

So this isn't the part where it's revealed that Carson and I had an affair. Or that I loved him. Or that he was my secret best friend or long-lost brother. All Carson Harris was to me was some boy who went to my school who I would probably never ever see again after college But, evidently, Carson Harris knew me. Knew me well enough to write my name out before he died. Or, should I say, before Carson Harris got murdered.

Hello! this was something i had to write for my english class. the story is based off of a greek tragedy called "Antigone" and the story takes place 5 years after the events of the play take place HUGE TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ MENTIONS OF SUICIDE, SELF HARM, BLOOD, ALCOHOL, ETC

In my English class, we were reading the play "Antigone". After finishing the book, I had a few ideas about a poem, so I wrote about the play. For those of you that haven't read "Antigone", not all of the symbolism might make sense, but I hope you still enjoy it.

Antigone has a gift. She can dance with butterflies and they understand her. One day the butterflies disappear, and don't return. She worries, and with her younger siblings, Mo-Mo and Tulip, she doesn't know what to do.

Before the play begins, I would like to present a dilemma. Let's say someone is accused of committing a crime, but the accused fully believes what they did was right. While on trial, should one plead guilty to doing wrong and risk validating the law? Or should one plead innocent at the risk of invalidating their own suffering? Remi isn't too sure, but she can damn well act as if she knew. An adaptation of the Greek Tragedy, "Antigone," made by Sophocles, written as if it were being acted out by UnOrdinary characters.
