Twenty four teenagers are brought into a government facility for training. But not any training, training to test the powers passed down from their ancestors that most of them didn't even know about. Some will survive, some will be driven mad by the memories of facing their worst fears and others will be killed. In the time it takes to train them all for the final battle between the planets everything they all know will be proven wrong and two individuals will stand out among the rest and hope will be scattered among the people. But will that be able to save them?

Population control has become a continually increasing threat in the small town of Ahern, California. In the mid 1960's, the government scrambled to take action, and they began with the weaker ones. Anyone over the age of 80 disappears. The disabled and handicapped cease to exist. The number of people ages 18 and under decreases by ten each year. In a sort of game called "The Competition," ten kids, typically thought to be delinquents, are chosen to be shot on sight. It has transformed from an essential element for survival into a sadistic game, in which children are chased down like they're wild animals. They have all but ten minutes to pack and run... leaving any earlier starts the game sooner than they'd like. As they begin the game, they lose any and all innate rights, and it is normally over within a matter of seconds... But what happens when these ten kids find out about their draft before they're supposed to? When the children thought to be "delinquents" happen to be the smartest kids in the town? (Going to be rewritten after My Electric Friend is finished, although I think the writing is okay, there some plot holes that need fixing, like the event with Melissa for example. During their missions and their time together at the military base, they don't exactly get along with each other because of Leina's lack of compassion towards him. When Donny meets his main enemy, Alleyne, he finds she is a very caring person with feelings just like him. He is able to connect more with her than Leina. Donny must help solve all of the conflicting political opinions between the four organizations that could resolve in the world's destruction: The Democratic Oligarchy Systems, The Cybran Conservation, The Protectorate of Worlds, and The Cosmic Imperium. Considering his mental problems, and all the situations he is put through, does he even have a chance with such limited time? Aelita has this power where she can close her eyes and picture something like a gun or a book or shoes or anything and when she opens her eyes it appears before her. When she was 9 she was deemed unworthy of her powers so her memory was wiped and she was sent away and was supposed to live a normal life. However early in her 12th year of life she is discovering her abilities and whispers of her old self are haunting her. When she was 13 she told her best and only friend about this power and together she relearned how to use it. But then at 15 Aelita gets turned for the worse, she befriends her once bully and they commit a felony that puts Aelita on a very dangerous radar. Now she's running for her life and away from herself. What she runs into is a conspiracy that is deeper and creepier than anything she could imagine or create. She is a big part of something but she can't seem to put it all together. And it might be too late to.
