At the moment of release, both share the exact same position, velocity and coordinates. Yet one falls while the other remains in orbit. The author argues that an object's instantaneous state - position plus velocity - is an incomplete description of reality. He proposes that matter accumulates what he calls "antigravitational dark energy" through its historical trajectory: the tower's marble carries a history of mechanical tension; the satellite's, a history of inertial equilibrium in permanent freefall. That accumulated memory, he contends, determines its future behavior.
