So I've seen journals of people in the LGBT+ community on here, and I've also noticed that asexuals seem to have lack of representation. I wanted to share my story so that fellow aces can relate and/or feel like they're not alone. I'll probably make a story with LGBT characters, specifically ace and those on the aro spectrum (didn't mention I was on that, too, did I?). I'll probably have like two readers but here ya go anyway.

In a lot of ways, Mobile, Alabama in the early 70's was just another small city along the Gulf Coast, seemingly content and properly industrious with the copious amounts of factories and shipping that went on all hours of the day and night. But theres a darkness to this area that no fresh coast of paint or massive hurricane could remove. In the face of an economic recession from the closing of Brookley Air Force base and the death rattle of the Jim Crow era, the city faced a federally mandated social change that was here to stay. Just on the other side of the bay, these bits of progression were fought against tooth and nail. In the middle of all this chaos was a timid boy named Tommy whos just trying to avoid getting caught in the crossfire of bullies and his ex military turned alcoholic father. When staying out of the way ultimately backfires and he has nowhere left to go, the only hand left to guide the boy through life was a high school and his wife that got up to far seedier dealings once the sun went down.
