Leah Daly and Tadgh Lynch are supposed to hate each other.
Their families made sure of it.
Years ago, Leah's sister Hannah bullied Tadgh's older sister Shannon, leaving a wound that never healed. Since then, silence has turned into tension, and tension into outright hostility between Leah and Tadgh, two people forced to carry the weight of what their siblings did.
But Leah is nothing like Hannah.
Behind closed doors, she's trapped in a different kind of nightmare, abuse at the hands of the same sister everyone else calls perfect. A golden child in public, Hannah's cruelty toward Leah is hidden in plain sight, while their parents look the other way.
And Tadgh is barely holding himself together.
Just four months ago, his life burned down-literally. A house fire took both his abusive father and his mother, leaving him with guilt, grief, and the messy aftermath of surviving something that should have ended him too.
When Leah and Tadgh are forced into each other's orbit, hatred starts to blur. What begins as anger becomes understanding, and what neither of them expected starts to grow in the wreckage: something dangerously close to love.
But healing doesn't come cleanly. And in a town built on history and silence, facing the truth might cost them everything.
