Ahead of them are perilous days and nights of whirling sands and murderous heatwaves. Red-rock cliffs, sprawling canyons and barbaric vultures await them. But when Abner begins to feel more than friendship for his pretty companion, things get even more dangerous. In his way are raging sandstorms, bloodthirsty creatures and an enormous desert, not to mention a certain arctic wolf who's recently gone from sweet to sour. In way of allies, Abner is pretty much on his own. But, like it or not, he's going places.
