An identical pair of twins, the older Alfred, and the younger, Matthew, are junior students at a high school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are living in an abusive foster home. Matthew is studious and is kind to everyone, while Alfred does anything to protect his younger twin and is a player on the football team. Arthur, his husband, Francis, and their daughter, Victoria, move to the US for Francis's job. Arthur begins teaching at the high school Victoria starts attending and has the two twins in his classes. Matthew is kind to him, while Alfred is quite the opposite. Arthur soon discovers the devastating life the boys are living through. So to help the world understand what the nation of freedom really is and what he is all about, they, the Ancients, collected the journals, diary entries, and notes about all the nations of the world to open up their eyes to the truth. One day he notices that a boy can see him, and that the boy is dead. His name was Gilbert. The next day another boy died. He was named Lovino. Alfred found out that they were both murdered, but the question is: What can he do about it as a ghost? He gets the help of a certain sorcerer and...well..things don't go too well.

This is a story about how the countries (minus America and Prussia) find out and meet Canada's children.

After moving to another country, Sakura had to adept to the new European school and its environment. An inconvenient event led her to believe that the school's Punk Arthur Kirkland disliked her. Francis thought he was living la vie en rose, being a famous author of several books and living in an aristocratic home in the heart of Paris. However, this all changed when a little baby boy was put on his doorstep and Francis entered the world of fatherhood. *IMPORTANT* There are many French phrases and words scattered throughout the story. It will be a lot easier to read if you're fluent in French, but if you only know English, it still shouldn't pose too much of a problem while reading.
