He's so stupid and this loyal dog was loyal to the wrong target, who just used him and made him a substitute for his White Moonlight because they have similar traits. Unfortunately, in the end Xiao Hanzi in the book was betrayed and Died miserably. Xioa Hanzi snapped, coughed a mouthful of blood "for real" and then died just like that.
