That cannon fodder is making him frustrated. Xiao Hanzi in the book was very unfortunate, having a blood-sucking and cheating lover. He's so stupid and this loyal dog was loyal to the wrong target, who just used him and made him a substitute for his White Moonlight because they have similar traits.
