Nico has finally escaped that hellhole of a jar but when the seven refuse to take him along in the quest and instead leave back at camp he is seething with anger.......and fear, fear that he will lose another friend or sister. 𝔹𝕆𝕆𝕂 𝟚 As it turned out, Mari was actually living a nice, normal and more importantly safe(ish) life somewhere sunny. Most of the time. Nobody was more surprised about this turn of events than she was. Problem was, things aren't ever that simple for a demigoddess. Monsters? Standard demigod fare, she could handle that. Homework? Now, that as actually an issue. An army set to invade camp any day now and kill them all? That maybe took slight precedence over the whole 'homework' thing. Maybe. But a very, very beautiful girl with deadly hands who hated her brother and made Mari's heart somersault every time she talked? Oh, gods. Yup. She was a goner.

𝔹𝕆𝕆𝕂 𝟙 Mari should have read the terms and conditions. Seriously. She should have noped out the second that Oak started talking about gods and monsters. But she wasn't very good at making sensible life choices, and that wasn't going to change any time soon. Maybe if she had, things would have been different. She would have been spared the trauma and the heartache, and would be living a nice, normal, and more importantly safe life somewhere sunny. But Mari wasn't normal. And she didn't have time to dwell on 'what ifs'. She was a little preoccupied fighting for her life and stuff.

It's already June, and it's been months since Adelaides last interaction with Cupid, the god of love. Lately, she's been receiving nightmares of her and Harrow, and a reoccurring nightmare of the one she received in Salem. In the third TCA, Circe, the witch of Aeaea, gains control of Adelaide once she pledges her service to Cupid, because she believes Harrow, and the others, hate her and want her dead.
