This isn't another one of those sob stories you hear about when your mom sends you a screenshot of an article she found on the New York Times website. It's also not one of those clichés you read about the desirable boy and the perfect girl who fall in love and live happily ever after. Well, I guess half of that is true, because it's kind of a sob story and it's also just a little bit cliché. I'm Morgan DeAngelis, a freak with a terminal lung disease and a seventeen year lifespan. I never said I was perfect. Sure, being told you have one year to live is hard. It's what you decide to do in that year that's even harder. Some people travel the world, some people blow all their cash do whatever the hell they want, some people mope about it the whole time, and some people probably end it early, and take their lives before their time is up. As sad as it may seem, that's what I wanted to do, but I didn't, and I can say that my life changed drastically, for the better... I think... Anyway, here's my story, read it if you want, or don't. I really don't care. But, fair warning, if you do decide to dalve into the rollercoaster of emotions I call a story, you should know that it's a very long journey. To be precise, a journey that lasts a lifetime.

I deeply inhale and after a few seconds, exhale. Sooner or later, I'll have to return. Stalling won't help. The call gave me new strengths and lifted me back up on my feet. I can't show him the consequences he made. I have to stay strong. With newfound determination, I walk back to his office. The door is still open, so I step in and close them behind me. I finally see him behind a desk, with his head enveloped in his hands. At the sound of the door, he lifts his gaze up but lowers it back down again. I almost feel sorry for him, but the alarms in my head ring, reminding me not to get tricked. He is the one, who deceived me first. I lift my head up high and loudly start to introduce myself, formally addressing him. "Hello, I am Mia Rose, your new assistant," and extend my hand. He looks at me surprised and his smile turns into a gentle one. I think I see a speck of sadness in his eyes, but my attention is drawn to his hand. "Hello, I'm Mark Adams, a professional photographer. Nice to meet you," and shakes my hand. I notice he addresses me formally as well. His handshake is strong but still gentle. I feel like he doesn't want to let go, but soon does and sits back in his chair.

After the death of her best friends father, Carina finds her heart heavy with grief but determination within her is present as she craves to move on. A few days after the burial, strange things being to happen to Carina, scaring her and causing others to question her sanity. Not sure of who to trust anymore, paranoia begins to creep upon her. In order for a fairy tale to be a fairy tale there has to be a specific set of rules and boundaries set up. These rules consist of a relentless villain, a beautiful but spineless and soft spoken damsel in distress, and of course, her sexy and charming hero. But have you ever noticed that all fairy tales have the one unspoken, almost golden, rule? “What rule is that?” You must be wondering. Well, that rule is; Heroes get dibs. This applies even when the aforementioned hero doesn't exactly deserve his princess. However, this is not a fairy tale and Marcelene Harris is no princess. She’s hardheaded, big mouthed, impulsive, insecure, and always getting into trouble. So typically someone like this -a recipe for disaster- needs a hero, and she has one. So what’s wrong with this picture? Well, she is convinced that her knight in shining armor is dating her best friend and she is NOT happy. Then one night at a wild frat party she meets a mysterious bartender that will have Walt Disney weeping and the Grimm Brothers cheering. He is an absolute game changer and seems to want Marcy for himself. But the problem is he’s not the one who saved her, so he does not have the rights to her heart. Be that as it may, no one seems to give a damn about the typical rules regarding a fairy tale, and with the paparazzi cast as the fire breathing dragon, shit is bound to go down. This leaves our poor damsel juggling two boys, two pasts, two futures, and a crap load of high school drama. How will Marcy ever make it out alive? Or better yet, who will help her make it out alive? *PREVIOUSLY NAMED "COLOR BLIND"*
