When 17 year old, Elisha Holman, gets into a fight with her 19 year old boyfriend, Richard Dalston, she flees his house in a angered storm and goes to her family's cabin in a small town in Pennsylvania. In McKean County there is a small town named Kane, neighboring it is Mount Jewett; where Alisha's family's cabin is. During her get away she meets someone knew, Jackston De'Heloris. What happens if her boyfriend comes to find her? what will happen between her and Jackston? what will happen well she's alone in the Appalachian mountains? Who knows what will happen? only time can tell... but does she have enough time? In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, three children from poverty stricken southwestern Virginia save the life of a small dog. Three days later, in a neighboring town only a few miles away, a break-in occurs at an illegal top secret weapons lab. Both events unwittingly move the hands of the Doomsday Clock several minutes closer to midnight. With millions of dollars now at stake, thousands of lives hanging in the balance, and the fate of the nation's capitol dangling precariously on the edge, the fate of everyone that comes in contact with the G.I.Z.M.O. could potentially become one of hero or villain. A chapter from my WIP novel: Their Foolish Hearts Were Darkened. Nathan is lost from the world, or perhaps, he wonders, the world lost its way from him. Troubled and conflicted, and desperate to fight off the enemy, even at the risk of abandoning true love, he allows a fall deeper beyond the safety of rock bottom to fight a true Hell on earth. Wake up calls ignored, and running far beyond empty, the hope depletes by the hour after s much needed package goes missing.
