Amanda lived her life like everyone else else, with goals and dreams. But her job has its requirements, and she can only get 3 straight weeks of personal time this year, so she decided to go backpacking in the Smoky Mountains. Under normal circumstances, it would've been the vacation of a lifetime! Mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife. But ahat she doesn't know, is that she will get lost & become very afraid of the night... Her brain focuses on every sound, and eventually her fears are confirmed. She hangs onto the hope that daylight will come, and soon! But at what cost, will it cost her sanity or her life?

"19 year old female?" he asked. "You must be 28 year old male," I replied. So begins the story of Em and Jay. Two strangers agree to walk the Appalachian Trail together. Jay has lived a hard life with an alcoholic mother and alcohol issues of his own, looking to get away and stay dry. Emily is young, trying to figure out what she want out of life, and just needs someone, anyone, to go with her. Can they finish the trail, together? This story is complete. I will post a chapter a day, as I refine them, but you are not wasting your time. This is a complete story, and if you enjoy reading it 1/10th as much as I have in writing it, you will not be disappointed. I am new to this site and don't have any friends/contacts.
