" Every cat shall climb the great stepping stones, but depending apon thier pawsteps. Destiny shall change." Maple has heard a voice in her head since she was born. The voice, Appledusk has been her only friend. All four of her littermates were born dead. Her mother, Hurricane had left her at Twolegplace after she turned seven moons old. Maple has heard of the Clans from some kittypet, and Appledusk is urging her to go on. Her destiny is to right the wrongs a cat known as Mapleshade had made. Will the distraught shecat ever make her way to StarClan? This is a fanfiction I own only the idea.

What if Mapleshade wasn't evil, but Appledusk was? Mapleshade wasn't always an evil cat. When she made the mistake of taking on the mate Appledusk, a RiverClan warrior, and bearing his kits, she was banished from ThunderClan. On her way to RiverClan, her kits drowned, and she took them to RiverClan, facing rejection from RiverClan and her own mate, who had taken on Reedshine as a mate now. Furious and desperate to avenge her kits deaths, Mapleshade killed Ravenwing, ThunderClan's medicine cat that revealed her secret to the clan, Frecklewish who had been watching Mapleshade's kits drown, and accidentally killing Appledusk whilst aiming for Reedshine. She dies afterwards by a fatal injury from Appledusk's apprentice, Perchpaw, and roams in The Dark Forest. She stirred trouble for the clans, and participated in the Great Battle, killing Spottedleaf after she sacrificed herself for Sandstorm. But... but what if all this never happened? What if Mapleshade lived on in RiverClan, Darkstar accepting her, and her kits living on in RiverClan with their mother and father? What if Mapleshade never killed Ravenwing, Frecklewish or Appledusk, and she eventually did die, living on in Starclan? What if Mapleshade never became evil and never went to the Place of No Stars? What if Spottedleaf's spirit still lived on to this very day? In this story I twist 'Mapleshade's Vengeance' by Erin Hunter.

In this fanfic, Ravenwing was murdered by Mapleshade the day they were caught meeting Appledusk with her kits. Mapleshade, Appledusk, and their litter continue to live happily in their clans separately. What challenges will they face?

Mapleshade once a great warrior of Thunderclan has been on a mad quest for revenge ever since she was outcasted. All for what? She doesn't understand, taking a mate from another clan shouldn't have to lead to exile. Her last hope was in Riverclan, her mates clan. On her trek across the gorge the last few things she holds hope to are swept away. She can only help but watch as her precious kits are taken away from her. She is turned down and torn apart when she arrives to Riverclan. Her mate taking another she-cat and casting her out. Now a rouge she is on a mad quest for vengeance agianst ALL the clans, they are all the same. But after a horrible outcome she wakes up somewhere she doesn't quite comprehend. A long and hard journey awaits her in a place she thought it would finally be over. (My god that was a long description... Oh well).

The events of Mapleshade's Vengeance play out differently, and Frecklewish is faced with the choice to honor her brother's memory and respect the Warrior Code, or care for the innocent kits of a heartless she-cat.

We all know Mapleshade's tragic story: Exiled, rejected, abandoned. But what if one little detail changed? What if that flood didn't come? Would it be the fairy-tale ending or do shadows still lay on the path ahead?

Mapleshade's kits miraculously survive from the river and Darkstar has agreed to let her stay in Riverclan but at the cost of exiling Appledusk. As Mapleshade gains Riverclan's trust Appledusk grows bitter. Appledusk seeks the help of Thunderclan to get revenge on Mapleshade. Will they Accept? Will Mapleshade try and kill Ravenwing for exposing her? Maybe both. Maybe neither. Read to find out.

Also, f Mapleshade.👎 Au where Mapleshade tests Crookedpaw and has him kill the three cats she killed in her lifetime. Got this idea when I watched the map "Maggot Belly" for Frecklewish on youtube.
