At the Shennong School precision is the only currency that matters. As Wen Qing's most dedicated Apprentice, Yuan has mastered the art of the steady hand and the quiet mind. But beneath the pristine forest green robes, he is a boy divided. He fears that to truly belong in this world of stethoscopes and clinical exams, he must say a final goodbye to the cultivation friends who knew him before the school. For Yuan the biggest challenge isn't the curriculum. It's the distance. Caught between the intense loyalty he feels toward his old cultivation roots and the unexpected joy of his new school friendships, he finds himself bracing for a farewell he isn't ready to make. Between grueling classes and late-night study sessions, Yuan begins to realize that growth doesn't have to mean erasure. As his new social circle grows, Yuan must learn the hardest lesson of his residency: that a butterfly needs both wings to fly, and his past isn't a weight-it's what gives him flight. A story about medicine, the protective guidance of a strict mentor, and the discovery that new bonds don't have to replace the old ones.
This is book 1 of a 3 book series. I have most of the main ideas and plan to release it throughout the coming months. It follows the series of stories I wrote about Sizhui following the traditions of the Wen branch family and learning medicine. This story crystallizes the idea and has him going to school to learn medicine.
