Sometimes you sit down, and you're met with silence. It's like a blanket, louder than noise and suffocating. You can feel it in your bones, you can feel it in the air. A book of random poems letters make up words, words make up sentences, sentences make paragraphs and paragraphs m ake stories - a random thought that came across my empty brain- somewhere in 2018 I'm in a world away. Filled with words little can comprehend and sometimes people just pretend. You just wonder when will it end. The poems listed here are made by me unless I specifically said it was not. This is my entry, written right before the deadline because that was when I first found out about this contest so why not? A poem is like a song only this time, You don't need a melodic voice to sing. Like a blanket it provides coverage and warmth. It may be calm, or the storm And it's commotion, But its sure to bring out some Form of emotion. It gets you to think. Or leave you on the brink off mighty flowing tears. It may make you aware of not only yours But another's fears. A poem is so many things wrapped in one. The longing meanings of a heart's song. Raw and intune.
