A smirk graced Keith's face, "Lance" Lance McClain has worked with all kinds of animals during his volunteer work at Altea Aquatic Adventures; penguins, dolphins, killer whales......all capable of physically mauling him if provoked or simply in the mood for Cuban Cuisine. So it's normal for him to believe Death would come in the form of flippers and/or saturated lungs, hell, at this point he wouldn't be surprised if the damn dolphin Allura is training is secretly eyeing his legs like two long sardines (he's caught those beady eyes staring at him menacingly from afar). However, Lance does not expect a pair of violet eyes nearly masked by a mullet (who has a mullet anymore?) to be the cause of his slow and painful downfall. Especially since said eyes seemed to bore into the Cuban's thick skull like he called the boy's mother a Puta and kicked a puppy along the way. Keith is a university student and aspiring writer. The only problem is, he's been struggling with writer's block since basically the dawn of time. Or at least since second semester started. The teacher likes him at least, and accepts his insanely depressing stories off as "experimenting with emotions". But this semester, things are buckling down. Not only will the class be doing short stories pertaining to certain prompts every other week, but their final, given to them on the first day back, is a completed, not so short, story all inspired by whatever word they draw from the pile. And with Keith's luck, his word is the thing he hates most: the ocean. So in the midst of trying to figure out what exactly he's gonna do with all this "idiotic bs", he might have stumbled upon a whimsical aquarium, and a cuban hearthrob who might've ended up being Keith's writing muse. Okay so this is my first fanfic and yeet also! : Rainbow Rowell is a heavy inspiration of mine and I would very much recommend reading her book Fangirl (and all her others) as it sparked the idea of this fic! ♡♡ Disclaimer: These characters are NOT mine, they are based off of the show Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Bakugou Katsuki is a new employee at the Musutafu Aquarium. He applied after his mother forced him to get a job somewhere. He's always loved visiting as a kid, so he decided to work there. But one thing has started to intrigue him recently. The Deep Sea Tank, or Deep Tank, is the one thing Katsuki hasn't seen the inhabitant of. He's tried to figure it out, but he's stumped.
