Something is brewing in Arcadia and, for some reason, the small town has more secrets than it does answers. Even people who've lived there for their entire lives don't realise anything's wrong, so how could some kid possibly fall into such a tangled collision of worlds? Then again, adventure favours the unfortunate and there's 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 a price. Trapped in a web of hazy memories and an ambiguous past, the right path becomes ever unclearer. "Grab them," the phrase automatically made me and Ryder tense beside each other panic and fear gripped my emotions making me shoot up from my sitting position with Ryder following suit. "Sorry." with a grim expression Mason moved towards Ryder and grabbed both his arms pulling them behind his back and pushed him on his knees, just when Ryder started struggling rendering him immobile. I was too busy watching Ryder to realise that April moved towards me grabbing me the same way making me thrash around in her arms. A small cry of surprise left my lips when my knees hit the ground after April pushed me down making sure I couldn't move no matter how much I tried. "Wait, wait! N-NO, what did we do, please let us go, y-you don't h-have to do this!" I screamed when I saw Xavier slowly walk up in front of Ryder who was glaring at him and blowing some purple powder in his face, I watched as Ryders eyes slowly rolled in the back of his head and his body slowly went limp against Mason's, making Mason bend down and pick Ryder up as if he didn't weigh anything. I start thrashing against April's grip as tears of fear and frustration filled my eyes blurring my vision. Xavier walked up to me and crouched down on the ground so he was at eye level. "I'm sorry, but you'll be fine, I promise." Ps. I know the summery ain't great but give it shot you might like it.
