Something is brewing in Arcadia and, for some reason, the small town has more secrets than it does answers. Even people who've lived there for their entire lives don't realise anything's wrong, so how could some kid possibly fall into such a tangled collision of worlds? Then again, adventure favours the unfortunate and there's 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 a price. Trapped in a web of hazy memories and an ambiguous past, the right path becomes ever unclearer. My take on a popular RWBY fanon faction, Arcadia, and presented in a way that is hopefully more balanced and nuanced, it is not an absolute paradise or utopia, nor a "good guy" faction, it will not be so hilariously overpowered or so technologically beyond Remnant that they could easily deal with Salem and then conquer the rest of Remnant but choose not to for no discernible reason. It will have its strengths but glaring flaws as well and will actively interact with the Four Kingdoms due to said flaws. There will be no crossovers with other IPs, just RWBY and real-life tech.

Ignatius Greyfeld has always been considered special by everyone except himself. Renowned for his impressive ability to cause trouble, and the silver tongue that kept him out of it, he kept predominantly to himself. Not out of any conscious decision, but more from a feeling of separateness, a separation from the world he lived in that he felt every day of his life, but was never able to fully express. Then his whole world was shattered by nothing other than a high-school relationship. This one girl was able to do what no one had ever done, she walked into the universe that he had been inhabiting alone for so long as if it were nothing, and it became immediately apparent to both parties that she had always belonged there, and was simply coming home. Then, after the best four months of his life, she walked right back out, abandoning Iggy to a world that now felt hollow and empty. When, one year and four failed relationships later, she finally rejoined him, the resulting glamour, the magic and life force of Arcadia, was such that it temporarily tore the barrier between realities, and sucked the two of them in. Upon entering, Ignatius's first sensation is one of such comfort and acceptance that at first he is unable to understand it, then he realizes. He is at home. What comes immediately after is a shockwave of emotion and knowledge, of love and humor and war so chaotic and powerful that it drives him to his knees, and it's all he can do to retain consciousness though the torrent. When it finally ends, he is aware of two things, 1) He is the latest incarnation of the great trickster Puck, and is now slowly remembering the lives that have gone before him and 2) Celeste, the girl he loves more than anyone in his life, is the assassin of the winter court, and his natural enemy.
