Based on a Scythe AU (book by Neal Shusterman) Well writing my character for a Scythe role play online I found myself wondering how beloved Annette became a therapist to a cast full of interesting scythes. Who was Annette before she was doctor Horseman? How could someone so positive be related to a witch of a sister?

This story takes place after the first book assuming that the other 2 books never existed (I didn't read the other 2 yet :b)

Scythe Fanfic! Twenty years after Scythe Curie became high blade and Scythe Anastasia was convinced to take on an apprentice and she end up choosing a girl called Amber who would rather be gleaned than be an apprentice. Although she was reluctant at first she agrees after she over hears her mother's conversation with the thunderhead about getting her supplamented. Amber had always disliked the thunderhead and was skilled at digging through the backbrain and didn't mind learning how to fight. She only took on the apprenticeship as protection but she finds that she wants to have a voice in scythedom even if that means giving up the life and family she had wanted and having to commit to something.
