Azalea Peverell had always pitied Cygnus Black the most. Out of all the Black members of their messed up family his story was truly the saddest. At 13 his family had turned his back on him and demanded him to wed his rapest who was years older and look after the child she bared. Being under potions to make sure he didn't question the obvious abuse that his children had endured. His life had been one of the worse out of the Black family. So imagine Azalea's surprise when she is greeted by her old friend death and given the chance to rewrite history?

One step, one decision can send ripples through time, changing the world as we know it by immeasurable proportions. Something similar happens in my story, where one decision by Arcturus Black to secure the future of the House of Black, changes the story of Harry Potter to the story of Hadrian Potter-Black. There is a reason why the Black family considers certain individuals "filth", a reason which didn't age well as the years passed. It was this reason, though, that Phineas wanted to change the way students were admitted to Hogwarts, but it had nothing to do with banning Muggleborn as Sirius Black would likely be inclined to believe his ancestor did. Disclaimer - I don't own Hogwarts Legacy. This is written for the first regular Froday challenge for August 2023, the prompt being selection. The inspiration for this story lies in the idea Sirius Black is an Unreliable Narrator when it comes to his family, the Black family. More specifically, I'm interested in degrees of prejudice and why a particular character may or may not hold a degree of prejudice, which in turn left me wanting to examine Phineas Nigellus Black's character to which I realized for his character's historical context is essential. This, in turn, made me realize historical context is actually essential for all the characters given how Muggle and Wizarding societies separated from each other in 1692, which in turn would mean cultural schisms between the two groups regarding the way they think about certain things. This particular story focuses on the workhouse still existing around the time Phineas Nigellus Black was headmaster, but also the assumption his wanting to change how students were admitted had to do with him barring Muggleborn, and this not being the case. This isn't to say what he wanted wasn't controversial, because it certainly is, although it's also not as controversial as Johnathan Swift's modest proposal was.

I stalled a bit on this one because I wanted to make the fact I am working with the headcanon of Regulus being on the spectrum and then I realized I really didn't need to make it super obvious because there are times when it isn't super obvious that someone is on the spectrum.

This was written for Froday Eternal Amnesty, but my first Eternal Amnesty story is written for prompt one of Table A: Mixed Prompts - despair. This is also written for the Awareness Challenge, but what I wanted to bring attention to specifically was deafness - the kind one isn't born with. Autisim is a side focus but comes from the fact I headcanon Regulus Black as being on the spectrum.

Arcturus Black, Alexander Redd, and Killian Grant. A Gryffindor and two Slytherins. Arcturus Black - A Gryffindor who gets in fights constantly and is rarely seen without a bloody nose. A prick if you're rude, a simple guy if you don't know him, and a crack head if you're close to him. Alexander Redd - A Slytherin who tends to get into trouble a lot and plays a lot of pranks. He is good in class, but comes off as rude to most people. Killian Grant - A Slytherin who loves playing pranks and messing with people. Good in most classes, and excels in herbology.

This is a Harry Potter centric fanfiction with mature main character. Powerful Harry Potter in a realistic manner.

Harry Potter is at the Dursley's for all of a week before his godfather comes for him. Sirius Black, recently exonerated, is determined to keep his godson protected from those who would manipulate him, or worse. To keep Harry safe, he's willing to do anything. Even something he swore he would never do - take up the mantle of the Lord of the House of Black. Harry grows up under the loving care of his dads, Padfoot and Moony. And by the time he goes to Hogwarts, he won't be used by anyone. Albus Dumbledore won't know what hit him.

During the summer before Harry's third year mass murderer Sirius Black escapes Azkaban. In order to catch the criminal and protect the students Minister Fudge places Dementors at Hogwarts. But that's not the only thing he does. A task force from America, specialized in catching high priority and dangerous dark wizards, is brought in. The reason for this? Sirius Black's long forgotten older brother leads it. What will happen when new Black's are reintroduced to Wizarding Britain? How will this change the timeline we all know and love? Regulus is the perfect little doll for the Black family and at first thinks nothing of the matter. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This is written for the Froday Flash Fiction Challenge, but more specifically the second regular challenge for July 2021 where the theme is metapher, but I decided to focus on the fact Regulus being very much like a doll for the members of his family and not developing his own personality until the end. Story needed to be at least 100 words.
