Detective Maya Linley is called to a house filled with tension, where arguments, silence, and unspoken fears have worn down a family over time. Over the course of a single night, she observes, listens, and gently guides each member-parents, children, and relatives-to confront their hidden emotions. Evan and his younger sister Lily struggle under the weight of their parents' conflicts, while friends Yahya and his baby brother Ibrahim offer support and perspective. As truths come to light, the family begins to see the impact of their words and actions. Brave voices reveal the children's fears, honest confessions expose long-held frustrations, and quiet gestures start to repair the damage. By the morning, while the house still bears its cracks, the family takes the first steps toward understanding, care, and reconciliation. Some cases aren't solved with arrests or reports-they're solved when voices are finally heard, hearts are acknowledged, and hope is allowed to grow.

Florence Davis is what you would call the apathetic type. She doesn't care about school, a lot of friends, politics, and pets. But when she trips down the porch of her home, she gains the ability to speak to animals. More specifically, her sarcastic fat cat that she tripped over, and listening to both sides of the animal kingdom isn't as easy as she thought.
