We all know him. Most of us hate him. But, he wasn't always the way he is now. I am of course talking about Argus Filch. Once he was a happy carefree lad just like you or I, but then his girlfriend whom he loved more then anything became a contestant for the Triwizard Tournament. The judges assured everyone that the champions would be in no serious danger. However this wasn't the case. Argus's girlfriend emerged from the last task not as a human, but as a cat. So look if you dare into the story of Reyna Norris. But, just a warning, it isn't a pleasant one.

Secrets of an Animagus is a fan made short story based on J.K Rowling's bestselling novels; "Harry Potter" This new adventure will take you back in time to when Hogwarts very own, Filch was just a eleven years old. There you will meet for the first time little Argus and his family, Unravel many secrets along the way and discover why Filch grew such a dislike and hatred towards all students at Hogwarts. And just maybe we will find out why he is so attached to his dear, beloved cat, Mrs Norris! Some of the characters in Secrets of an Animagus have been created by myself but most are original characters brought back to life from the pages of Harry Potter to keep the magic alive. The Prologue starts our story off in 1992 with abstracts taken from Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets. Argus Filch has not always been the lonely caretaker Squib...well, he's always been a Squib but he wasn't always lonely and bickering at students to return to their common rooms and to stay out of the Restricted section of the library. There had been a time when he had been happy almost, when he had found someone whom he was not having to inform them to not increase the amount of work he did. A person he felt a little something more to than a spat of hatred and selfishness about his job as a caretaker. Some would say it was the start of a friendship, but to a Squib like Filch it was something more, something a little like love. TIME PERIOD: 1982 (Argus Filch is 27 years old; Cecilia is 24.)

A poem I wrote about Filch's cat in Harry Potter. This poem was based on a fan theory I read that implied Mrs Norris was once a teacher at Hogwarts. She and Filch had supposedly had a love affair. Mrs Norris was then cursed into a cat by a Slitherin for associating with a squib. Ever since, Mrs Norris has prowled the hallways in order to aid Filch with disciplining students who even slightly misbehaved. Seems to explain Filch's attachment to the cat.
