Athenia is the new, young lieutenant of Artemis, the great goddess of the moon and hunt. For many a millenia, her sworn enemy has been the erotically disturbed goddess of beauty and desire, Aphrodite. In a disagreement amongst the gods at a gathering for Athenia's promotion, the goddess makes a promise to Athenia: to make her suffer greatly for being a hunter of Artemis.
Aristotle, or Aris, is a lonely deserter in the woods in search of freedom. Since his wife Selene betrayed him and his own father banished him from Athens, he makes every effort to stay alive in the woods. When his eyes fall upon Athenia as she is tracking a bear, he becomes attracted to her in a way that may very well upset the balance of Athenia's life. Will Aphrodite get what she wants and ruin Athenia for all eternity?
