Arisu Myojo. Bright Star. That was his mother. A woman who's light went dim, who desperately tried to shine in her husband's shadows but failed to escape the darkness. Or; A character study not on Ryouhei (at least, on purpose) but on the woman in the photo. One that accidentally turned into a chess fic and, somehow, Chishiya made his way into it too. Honestly, it got out of my hands the moment I decided his mother would love chess.

After Chishiya beat all the difficult games on his own, he suffers and griefs in silence because of all the people he has lost. Arisu notices this, he is determined to help Chishiya. Although, will his actions be enough..? (Chishiya x Arisu)

in which Arisu Ryouhei is reborn and a man on a mission to save every unfortunate soul stuck in the death games of borderland -preferably unscathed- his magically acquired sudden soulmate is a plus that he surprisingly doesn't mind. or, alternatively, armed with years worth of mountain climbing, track and field and student council experience, a trusty backpack, a handy dagger and a very much disgruntled Chishiya as his soulmate, Arisu sets out to make sure everyone gets out alive. a fix it of sorts

How Arisu, for once, loses a game. In an alternate timeline, Arisu and Usagi believe they've conquered the deadly Borderlands after defeating the Queen of Hearts. The absence of the King of Hearts' airship in the sky convinces them their battle is over. But as they rest, tending to their wounds, the game master strikes when they least expect it. Victory was an illusion-now, the real nightmare begins. And what is with this strange tension between him and Chishiya?

In a city built on lies and survival, the most dangerous thing isn't the game. It's what they've started to feel for each other, specially that neither has an answer for it.
