And they don't care. Except, just once. One girl's demon notices her slowly dissolving right in front of them. Their job is to torment and annoy, but something within the girl is already doing that for them. Meet Toby Sage. His heart, a twisted fish, lives in his throat. He chokes on his words, leaving him teary-eyed and closed mouthed. Unable to express his emotions, he feels alone and broken. He puts on a brave facade but his emotions leak out like a drippy shower - and his cries for help remain unheard. ... Toby had always thought happiness was alike soda. Sweet and fizzy, but not long lasting as happiness must be enjoyed and drank before it goes flat. So, he did what was logical, drinking soda every day to remain happy until he was left with a mouthful of cavities.
