All their attempts proved futile and your dad, eventually, took his old man's life without even an ounce of hesitation. He turned his ravenous eyes on your uncle next and tried to pounce on him. He was eliminated from a crossbow shot, piercing his lungs. You observed the entire scene behind a wall of guards, fear engulfing your features. You begged for your mother's life to be spared, but no one answered your prayers. She was beheaded the following evening, the warm rays of orange and red mixing in with her blood on the porch. You crouched under shrubs of Forsynthias, curling up your small frame into a ball.
