The reigning monarch's spouse was dead, the Empire was in mourning. Coincidentally, Verrie Adelberry arrived, not too long after. The queen's body had not yet grown cold and they had started to make quite the name for themself. Verrie did not journey the vastly spanning roads of the Empire, nor did they travel to the capital by any normal means. It was almost out of a myth. One second there was naught more than empty air, and the next, they were careening out of the sky as if they had been kicked out of the heavens by the gods themselves. Adorned in clothes that none had ever seen, with an accent that none had ever heard, and nonsense spilling from their lips, it was no wonder why Verrie was thrown at the widowed ruler's feet and declared a murderer. For there was no other explanation for Verrie, with their strange name and even stranger mannerisms- nor would there be any for the bodies that would begin to pile up since their arrival. Unbeknownst to all, Verrie was no traveler, or god, muderer, or anyone in this strange world of their own free will. They were from a modern age, and they would have to prove their innocence by whatever means necessary. That was easier said than done considering that they were being held hostage deep in the bowels of the Imperator's dungeon. Cover by just-alex-iguess on Tumblr

History says his bloodline ended in the mud of the 6th century. History was wrong. While excavating a ruined monastery in modern-day Cornwall, a research team unearths a rusted iron box. Inside, shielded from the centuries by oilcloth, are the private journals of Ceredig Cadarn. Ceredig grew up in the salt-mists of the 9th century, a boy with no name, no status, and nothing but a ring he was told to bury. He lived in a world that would have torn him to pieces had it known the truth of his parentage-that he was the "natural son" of a house that refused to die. He didn't know he was an enemy of the Church. He didn't know the symbol he drew in the sand was a death sentence. He was just a boy walking into a fire, unaware that he was the spark.

Legends, folktales, and bedtime stories all spoke of creatures called Fae. But no one thought they were real - until the Fae invaded. Now it is up to a rag-tag group of teenage survivors to save the town of Hawthorne: Miranda, chronicler of the Fae invasion, who is hiding a dark secret... Gordi, an escaped human prisoner of the Fae, in search of his long-lost parents... Darcy, a mysterious girl who looks like Miranda... Surfer-dude Jaron, nature-activist Clair and pacifist Emerson - royal heirs of the various Fae clans who are having trouble reconciling with the cruel customs of their people... And then there is bad-boy rocker Axel, who helped instigate the invasion in the first place - but is he evil, or just misguided? These teenagers are the only ones who can bring peace... if they don't kill each other first. NOTE: This is a novelization written in the style of Japanese 'light novels'. The story is intended to be a multi-platform franchise that will include a webseries (in pre-production), and eventually graphic novels/videogames.
