King Arthur has ruled over Camelot ever since his father, Uther Pendragon, was killed. By his side stand the loyal Knights of the Round Table and his trusted adviser Merlin. Merlin has been by his side for years and the pair have made every attempt to keep each other close. A darkness is beginning to falling over Camelot though; one that is setting Arthur's future in stone. Merlin will do anything to save him. Even if it means revealing his biggest secret to keep him safe. Fanfiction from BBC's Fantasy/Drama television show Merlin. It ran for five seasons between 2008-2012. It is a retelling of the Arthurian Legend set in the late 5th early 6th centuries. It follows the title character Merlin, showing his journey from a young wizard to the fully developed warlock of lore. Throughout the series, he is forced to keep his magic a secret as it is illegal in Camelot, upon pain of death. Merlin also performs his traditional role of guiding Arthur through his own development from Prince to King. Arthur, as King, makes Guinevere, who at the time was a maid, his Queen. Through the series the development of Morgana, Arthur's half-sister and frequent antagonist, is also shown as she goes from being a royal to villainous Sorceress. The series includes all the standard elements to fantasy including magic and dragons. The fanfic takes place between series four and five, a three-year gap. The end of season four saw Arthur, with Merlin's help, reclaim Camelot's throne from Morgana who took it earlier in the series. Morgana was mortally wounded, but escaped capture. Her life was then saved by a baby dragon that Merlin found and hatched in an earlier season. I pick it up a few days from there and will chronicle Morgana's actions that lead her to her location at the opening of season five.

Lyrin had a normal life. Until she met them and now she has to go and save the world and Magic. Not how she wanted to spend her B-day obviously, but with a bit of romance and secrets and perhaps new friends, she might just get over it.

Merlin has been around for the last 1500 years and is eaten by guilt. 1500 of self-reflexion, of what he could have done, what he shouldn't have done, reflection on the people he saw dying. In the modern world, he try to blend as much as possible, pretending to be a student and waiting for his king to come back. But when that day comes, Arthur is not the only one to come back and Merlin doesn't know how to deal with all the pain he feels. Her resolve and dedication to her calling are also tested when she meets handsome knight and Arthur's commander, Sir Lancelot. Will she lose herself to this knight before her journey can even begin, or will her resolve and sense of duty win out?

Beatrice was an ordinary girl, until she discovers powers she can't control. After finding Camelot, she meets Merlin, who helps her control the strange powers. Then, she starts seeing glimpses into the future. At first it was simple things: A picnic, holding hands with a stranger, sharing a kiss. Everything in the future seemed great for her.
