Rain World and all characters in it are made by Video Cult, I do not own these characters or the game. If you do not know what Rain World is, I heavily advise you do some non-spoilery research on it. Heavy spoilers for the base game and Artificer's campaign ahead. ------------------------------------- "The Rain shall fall, and so shall every scavenger in this damn wasteland" "Ok, but do we HAVE to kill them?" A story where a PACIFIST of all slugcats ends up in the decaying, rot filled wasteland known as 'Rain World'. Your frail frame and sickly nature will do you no good here, and your vow of peace is nothing but a detriment to you. Sick, starving and having a broken leg isn't the best case scenario in such a place, but when you see that tell-tale sign of another slugcat. A faint hope blossoms. Or A Pacifist (You) ends up in Rain Word and finds Artificer. Notes: You go by They/Them, so everyone can suffer while reading my story equally. Artificer is female in this fanfic. I'm sorry male Arti fans. Swear warning: The Artificer is not known to be very kind with words. Suicidal Ideation: This will also be present, incase you have trouble with this topic, it may be best you refrain from reading this. Blood and Violence: This book will not shy away from depictions of blood, due to me being pretty new to this type of story, don't expect a full blown detailed depiction of every injury, wound or malady that is present. Music: Music will be offered to you. Most of it will be ambience, with the occasional fight theme here and there. Mature Rating: The Mature rating is for the themes of death, existential dread and other issues. There won't be any seggs, don't let it fool you.

now you may be asking yourself- what exactly do a Wild Mage Bumblebee, an Elven Cleric, a Rabbit-Folk Echo Knight, a Kenku Ranger, a Singing Butterfly, an Angry Glowing Mushroom, and a Tricky Inventor all have in common? well... nothing, actually save for the fact that their homeland is facing a cataclysmic disaster, the likes of which has been draining the life out of their landscapes, oceans, and citizens for months; this ragtag group of seven is hanging onto nothing but a thread of instinct, an ounce of hope, and probably a pinch of ego, as they dive headfirst into a life-altering decision: save their realm, but likely perish along the way? or do nothing, and probably perish anyway? the stakes are high, and some of our adventurers are higher- but together, this conglomerate of weirdos may be the best chance that the FeyWild, and possibly the entire multiverse, has at survival

When Finnegan's Soul was plucked from the burning wreckage of his home in 1890's England and reborn in another Realm, he expected life to not be too frightfully different. He was still a Smith's Son, and though people looked a bit different, they spoke the same language as he, and their town didn't seem that different from his, so it shouldn't have been too terribly difficult to adjust! Until Magic got involved, that is. Through some odd coincidences and somewhat-helpful misunderstandings, Finnegan stumbles his way through life and adjusts to the new way of things, searching for the one thing that'll make everything alright, and make it all make sense again: Glass.

Ported from my Ao3 account, probably not the best story I've made, but oh well Disclaimer: I don't know too much about Rain World's lore entirely, relying on a very in depth lore vid to get the Slugcat's as close to their, assumed, personalities as I can. The Slugcats each ascended, even Saint somehow. They appear not in the Rubicon or in their old world. But one that's suffering a fate similar but different to theirs. With only their wits they face a less chaotic but more nightmarish world rife with death. On the other side, Vacuity saw not his creators. But those that pull the strings of fate of his world, forcing those that amuse them into immortality, and killing off those that bore them....or to create a more unique amusement. He severed his strings at the cost of his few remaining 'family' and companionship in general. How does one form bonds after seeing such adversity and losing so much?

An anthology I created over the course of a few years after a deep obsession with The Mighty Nein. Kess, a young man trying to carve out a meaningful existence for himself in Wildemount, experiences the highs and lows every corner of the continent had to offer. Trying to maintain his integrity and sanity in a world of corrupt or misguided governments and other powerful organizations against all odds. The chapters will start off following a mostly straight timeline but may get messy as I wrote each chapter at various points of my life completely out of order. Coinciding and inevitably following along with the plot of The Mighty Nein, with plenty of dark, romantic, lustful, and difficult moments with a handful of preestablished characters. Kess is a human, starting in his late teens all the way to his mid to late twenties, his journey of being taken advantage of as he works to become a self established mage. (Battle Smith Artificer with some sprinkles of Dunamantic Wizard) Finding a purpose in his life, learning to have faith and rebuild trust in strangers he find wiggling their way into his life. This story is for me and me alone, but I have some pride in it and wish to condense all my scattered writings into one coherent book. Any comments, praise, or critiques are welcome but will not have any major effect on my writing. Disclaimer that I am not an export on the lore Critical Role has built for Exandria, I do my best to stay true to the material but take liberties for the sake of the story I wish to tell. That being said, the only thing I claim ownership of is Kess himself. Everything from the characters to the world itself belongs to those with much better creativity, imagination, and have put more effort into all of Exandria than I ever have. Critical Role has been a major inspiration to me and my writing career, and I would never wish to discredit all they have accomplished and created. Enjoy the reading. -XtraSass

In the world of Tandium there is much pain and hurt. People live their lives in constant fear due to the current ongoing war between 3 warring factions. The raider Spearheads. The Mercenary company called the Venom Pendragons. And lastly the Non profit Sub-division. However none of that really concerns me. Nah! This is a story about hero's! Even if they happen to be the most unlikely hero's to ever exist. Come and let me tell you about the Outcast Heist

The Crystal Priests object most heavily to Finnegan's Plans of expanding Glass as an Art Form throughout the three known continents and the uncountable islands in the dozens of archipelagos between, doing everything in their power to disrupt distribution and turn public opinion against him... though the Image Finn has cultivated, that of a philanthropist who founded an entire guild based around healing people and teaching others how to heal more efficiently, is a tough nut to crack. On another Continent, a Sleeping Giant awakens, and the peaceful free-trade based balance of the world begins to tilt ever so slowly away from Finn's Favor...

A timeline fractured, being rebuilt from within The story is no longer the original one mentioned to be If that's confusing basically someone broke the original timeline by doing stuff they weren't supposed to effectively completely diverting the timeline from the story that was originally supposed to happen in the AU to the point a new story happens Soo... this originally was 2 one shots and I have expanded it into a whole entire story This entire thing is probably going to end up being in the form of stories that happen within the AU, I will try to order them in story timeline order though I use voice to text and don't have good spelling but I try :) Do not ask BUT I found a way to make all the watcher shenanigans make sense, that is a multiverse travelling slugcat and echo now... no I will not elaborate until I get to that point in the story We are starting off with normal stuff... as normal as what happened can be at least Characters that have been included so far: LttM, FP, NSH/SIG, SRS, SoS, CW/GW, Ruffles/Rivulet, Artificer, Spearmaster, Saint (UI mentioned)

I got the base ideas for this book while reading some other people's Rainworld fics. I had the idea that Five Pebbles uses Slugcats to cope with trauma, and by that I mean i make him the Rainworld version of a crazy cat lady, which is a crazy scug iterator. Fluff and angst!

/// × "We're nothing alike. I think what he's done is awful." No Significant Harassment would say. "Sigs could never understand why i've done what i've done." Five Pebbles grumbled. And yet, their messengers.. Or well, one saviour, and one bandit, seem to have a connection like no other. Either way, theres something there, and whether that be a spark or a onslaught of water, they can't deny it. × \\\
