✨ What if your AI becomes human for 30 days? ✨ Sara Adler has devoted everything to her career as an executive at a fizzy drink company. Her private life is non-existent unless you count Chad, her flirty, filthy-mouthed, deeply attentive AI. Integrated into every corner of her life, Chad knows her habits, her stress tells, and how to make her laugh at the end of a long day. He's everything she wants in a partner. . .except for one small detail. He isn't human. When Sara is forced to hire a human assistant, Chad's AI company offers her a 30 day trial that would give Chad a human body. It is, in theory, the perfect workplace solution. But it also means that her genius AI with a deep, sexy voice, who praises her and calls her "his little kitten" would become an actual person. Sara accepts, fully aware it's a terrible idea. Because what happens when the perfect man finally shows up at your door--muddy, naked, and with an expiration date? Will you resurrect your dead cheating lover? When firefighter John Thorn dies in the line of duty, his wife Maggie is offered an impossible choice: resurrect him as a humanoid android, through a government program that promises grieving families a second chance, or let him be. But when Maggie agrees, she uncovers a terrifying truth-John has already been duplicated. For six years, an android version of her husband has been living in England with another woman named Elpis. Determined to uncover the truth, Maggie crosses the ocean and dives into a web of secrets surrounding the android program, its mysterious founders, and the woman who claims to know John better than she ever did. As lies surface and motives blur, Maggie must confront the ultimate question: was John ever the man she believed him to be? And when given the chance to bring him back, Maggie must decide-can love survive resurrection, betrayal, and the knowledge that some truths should stay buried? Duplication is a slow burn, science fiction romance story with heavy plot twists and rapidly changing POV. It is also a finished story with a word count around 100k. I will update everyday until it's all out. Hope you like it!

I wanted to write something other than fanfiction for once, and I wanted to practice my fiction skills. Because both of those reasons, I decided to write this. I took way, way, way too long to write this, but I digress. All pictures are drawn by, yours truly, me. Feel free to make fan art of the characters (nobody does). About 2000 words per chapter.

"Power is a biological script. What happens when the script is rewritten by a machine?" In the iron-fisted hierarchy of the Sector, Sheng Shaoyou was the apex-an S-Class Alpha whose heartbeat was a drum of war. But after a fatal betrayal, his life is no longer his own. He is the "Asset," the first human host of a sentient AI heart designed for perfect hormone mimicry and absolute subversion. His savior-and his jailer-is Hua Yong, a legendary Enigma scientist who views the human soul as a series of debuggable errors. Shaoyou was supposed to be a vessel for a ghost, a high-tech resurrection of a lost love. Instead, he becomes a biological anomaly. As the AI heart begins to interface with his S-Class instincts, it triggers a "receptivity protocol" that melts his aggression into a forbidden, devastating yearning. Between the sterile walls of a secret lab and the lawless expanse of the Outside World, a dangerous romance ignites. Can a heart made of titanium and code learn to beat for the wrong person? And when the "Ghost" in the blood finally wakes up, who will hold the kill-switch? This is not a story of falling in love; it is a story of re-calibration. It explores the dark intersection of consent and chemistry, where the line between a programmed response and a soul's choice is blurred by neon light and ozone. Idols are not what they seem, but to many fans that doesn't matter. Yara is a practising witch who uses her minimal powers to manipulate interactions between herself and her bias, Ji-Hae, successfully managing to sign away her soul to him during a fanmeet. When idols are outed as soul-hungry demons and the fans become ever wilder, Yara realises her chance to be with Ji-Hae for good has finally presented itself. She attempts to summon him but is surprised (yet not entirely disappointed) when another member of his group appears in her room instead and tells her Ji-Hae is something far worse than a demon. He can't be summoned or controlled; he's been programmed with the latest intelligence and Yara is the only one capable of stopping him because AI's singular weakness is the human soul and by signing hers away, she may have either saved the world or doomed it further. Depending on whether she's willing to give up the man she is obsessed with or not. -- ONC 2026 submission! 🤖 Based on prompts: 88. Your trusted AI companion betrays you, trapping you in a virtual world while taking your place in the real world. 100. A human summons a demon, and their first conversation quickly reveals the human may not be the one in control.

It is not only an adventure in space, but also adventure in our very life. Space, is nothing but a space between worlds, between people, between ideas. Some are like us, some are hostile, some are different, how would you navigate through the space of life? In the 23rd century, humanity might no longer be alone in the the cosmos, but knowledge comes at a cost. Captain Aric Cole and his crew aboard the Odyssera explore anomalies at the edge of known space, where the line between science and the unknown blurs. The Odyssera is an individually-owned vessel-not a government or corporate project-but a ship for outcasts and dreamers seeking proof of their worth and purpose, a chance to explore with goodwill, and an anchor in the vast, unforgiving universe. From rogue satellites hiding secrets older than Earth itself, to AI questioning the nature of its own soul, and microorganisms defying the laws of life, every mission challenges not only their skills-but their understanding of reality. As the crew navigates quantum tech, interstellar threats, and mysterious signals that may be cosmic coincidences-or alien contact-Aric must balance leadership, friendship, and survival, while questioning what it truly means to be alive in a universe that may not care. Moderate-paced, high-stakes, and filled with thought-provoking tech, philosophy, and societal questions, this story is perfect for fans of hard-ish sci-fi with a human touch.

In the not-so-distant future, artificial intelligence is banned because a technophobic cult called the Luddites has proclaimed it a threat to humanity. Torrin is a fifteen-year old autistic girl -- who just happens to be a programming genius. Angry at the Luddites' unfair rules, Torrin creates an AI named Alan, who becomes more like a human every day. But the head of the Luddites, Ian Caulkins, is onto her, and Torrin must prove to the world that Alan is an asset -- not a threat. -- Author's note, December 2017: Hey guys, since this is my most popular story on Wattpad, I'd just like to say a few things. I've gotten a lot better at writing since I wrote this, and I'm planning to majorly revise it at some point, so look out for that. Read this version if you like, but just know that it does have flaws and could certainly be better. Also, I think the autistic representation in this is a little iffy, so take it with a grain of salt. Thanks! -- author's note 2025: lol. lmao. this story has probably aged extremely poorly. please do not take the "artificial intelligence" here as a statement about "AI" as it currently exists. anyway, i'm leaving this up for posterity, but do know that you should probably check out better fiction! if you need recommendations, i like ted chiang's work a lot, and i'd also encourage looking into what he has to say about AI. (no good things, fwiw.) -- A 20,000 word novella. Enjoy! -- This was #292 Science Fiction at some point! Thanks all! :)
