The Federal Republic of Flashia had been living their day like the other day, when suddenly they found themselves under an alien skies. Reborn from the ashes of a bloody series of wars, this Federal Republic would have to face the new challenges that came with the abrupt transfer as they would try to adapt to their new, current situation. "It sounds like it comes from a conspiracy, I know, but trust me, it is all real, nothing is made up here" - President Simon Thomasen ... While this is indeed similar to Nihonkoku Shoukan, I decided to do some originality and put my own fictional countries (including Flashia) in there because why the fk not? -CONTENT WARNING- May contain disturbing content, most prominently violence along with myriad of things. This is the tale of the Second World War. Rather, a tale of the soldiers who fought it. Jack Walters, a young and youthful British boy living in the small village of Bathampton, is called up to the British Army during the waning days of the Second World War. After watching his childhood best friend depart a year earlier for Burma, he must endure the horrific trials of warfare during the final thrust through North-West Europe alone. As he struggles to survive in the wheat-fields of Hill 112, the Seine river, the disastrous Operation Market Garden, the freezing Ardennes, the Reichswald Forest and the climactic crossing of the Rhine, he must do all he can to bring himself and his comrades back home alive.

The United Volarion Republic, a magnificent federation of eleven mighty states, was the second-most powerful military and economic power in their world. Built upon valor, strength, and unity, Volarion was an outstanding beacon of modern civilization-until it was all turned on its head. Suddenly, without warning, the entire nation was yanked out of their reality and hurled into a world of ancient kingdoms, magic, and horror monsters. Their cities remain standing, their armies still march, their jets still roar overhead-but satellites are offline, alliances are severed, and reality's rules are shifting beneath their feet. Now alone and surrounded by medieval powers endowed with sorcery and myth, Volarion has to adapt or perish. Dragons soar and sorcerers weave spells while the republic's tanks thunder and fighter planes boom across foreign skies. First contact is confusion-and war-as ancient powers awaken at the arrival of a nation born of legend.

In the final campaign of the Crossroads War, a young soldier deserts his own lines to reunite with his lover, who lives in enemy territory. "Ferdinand... I'll wait for you forever and a day-please return. I love you." Note: This story is another set in Altera, my alternate 19th Century setting. The Crossroads War is roughly equivalent to the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71), and this conflict sees the introduction of the first armored fighting vehicles.

Welcome to Hephaestus. Originally known as Project Prometheus before its development was revealed to the wider world, the Hephaestus was designed to "spit in the eye of the gods". A massive, heavily armoured, industrial spaceship, the Hephaestus was designed to travel the long distance to the planet Helios 29-c, and then be the central hub for the largest industrial effort in human history. But as it's name would suggest, Project Prometheus was never fated to be an easy journey. Five years after landing the enormous ship on the surface of Helios, and transforming itself into a massive factory city, the crew of the Hephaestus have spent less time mining for the valuable helium-3 and other elements under the surface, and more time focused on fighting back the hordes of horrors that inhabit the planet.

Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com

Never before has there been such a comprehensive look at Confederate military horses in the Civil War and their lives before, during, and after battle. Why particular breeds or colors were chosen for specific tasks, what the life expectancy of military horses was and why they died, and the distinct challenges of caring for horses in wartime conditions are all coved. Chapters focus on how they were acquired by their owners, their lineages, the stories behind their names, and the ways in which they were immortalized. Robert E. Lee's Traveller, Stonewall Jackson's Little Sorrel, Forrest's thirty horses, Ashby's Tom Telegraph, and many more are included in this must-read history.
