Artinspired Stories

Cover isn't by me This story is almost a year old, but I wanted to post it Daiki's Rise was written for an project in English class. It takes place in a universe where the characters and locations are all from actual pieces of art. I'm currently writing a screenplay that takes place after this. The visuals would be inspired by the movies Loving Vincent and SpiderMan: Into the Spiderverse. It's also inspired by Wes Anderson and Tim Burton movies.

This collection is based on Artwork produced by a friend of mine. She has a distinct way of putting messages throughout her work. We were hanging out sharing our passions and she asked me to write my perspective on what each piece meant or made me think. So please enjoy my thoughts and perspectives on these amazing art pieces by a local black artist. My contribution to the growth of my black community. The Quiet Below is a quiet ache of a poem-an ode to the kind of love that protects without praise, sacrifices without recognition, and stays steady in silence. Told through the metaphor of an anchor and a ship, it explores the selflessness of holding on so another may let go, the grace of devotion that exists without glory, and the ache of being left behind not because you weren't enough-but because you were everything they needed before they could stand alone. A tribute to the unseen, the unspoken, and the unthanked.

This is just a random collection of different short-stories that are inspired by art! Seeing drawings of starry nights, winter woods, a fearsome pirate, or a foreboding castle just... sparks my imagination and I find myself creating a small story line with it! I hope you enjoy it... 🙂 Suggestions are welcomed... although I've never done it before, so you'd probably have to help me through it step-by-step 😅 hehe And if you want Part 2's of any of them, just leave a comment!
