"Promise me that you will take care of her." Those were the last words that squad leader, Hanji Zoe had heard from her younger sister, Anna, before she gave up her last breath. "Don't worry, Anna, I promise you that I'll raise her as if she were my own." She vowed to the blond who was now laying still and lifeless on her deathbed. She heard a shrill cry of a child and walked over to the wooden crib beside her sister's bed and picked up the newborn baby and began to rock her gently, "Shh, its okay, auntie Hanji's here, auntie's got you. I promise you that I'll take care of you." The blond child finally quieted down, Hanji looked at the now sleeping infant in her arms. "I'll make sure that nothing ever happens to you." Many years have passed and it seems that the promise that Hanji kept was entirely forgotten, she gave her niece to the child's father, who willingly took the child. Little did she know that her promise was already broken when she gave the child to him.

since the beginning, annie was pitying armin or treated him special as she had a chance to do it before but she didn't armin felt a certain feeling towards annie but after knowing she is a traitor he kept trying to forget about her until she was in the crystal. he visited her every day because he truly cared for her and he missed seeing her and thought that she might have her own reasons to be like this. She felt him through the years as he came and thought that it was so nice of him. after she was out of the crystal and she knew that he visited her everyday even tho she was a traitor, she felt love towards him as well and was standing beside him in the fight against erin . until erin was dead and the Titans were gone.. they had no more worries so they both tried to spend more time together and build more feelings toward each others
