Arundhati Shah's life is perfectly ordinary, until a mysterious letter sealed with impossible wax arrives on a Tuesday morning. The letter that tells her she's been accepted to Devas Academy of Divine Arts and Celestial Warfare. The letter that reveals the magical world her exiled mother has kept hidden for fourteen years. Aru's mother, Krithika Shah, was once part of magical society, until she fell in love with the wrong man, got pregnant, and was stripped of her powers in front of the entire Magical Council. Exiled. Bound. Used as a cautionary tale whispered to young girls: Don't end up like Krithika Shah. Now Aru must enter the world that destroyed her mother, knowing nothing about her dead father except his name: Suyodhana. Knowing she'll be judged instantly for her mother's "shame." Knowing that magical society is obsessed with bloodlines, hierarchy, and keeping the "pure" families in power. At Devas Academy, everything depends on your heritage. The Cosmic Mirror sorts students into houses based on their bloodline: Chandra for the pure-blooded elite, Agni for demon-descended warriors, Vayu for celestial servants, and Surya for everyone else-the orphans, the unknown, the undesirable. Everyone assumes Aru will end up in Surya, if she's allowed to attend at all. But Aru has six weeks to prepare. Six weeks to learn everything about a society designed to reject her. Six weeks to memorize the names of powerful families, the complex web of alliances, and the devastating truth about what happened to the Vajra bloodline, the legendary family that went mysteriously extinct a hundred years ago, leaving their perfect matches, the Acharyas, mourning the loss of their greatest allies. RANKINGS: #1 aru shah #1 aiden acharya #1 brynne rao #2 mini #1 potatoes # kara shah

*All characters within this book belong to Roshni Chokshi* Aiden Acharya likes things neat, predictable, and quiet. Aru Shah is none of those things. She's loud, chaotic, and has a habit of barging straight through the emotional walls Aiden carefully built after his parents' messy divorce. While Aiden believes silence is safety, Aru believes life should be lived loudly-and she's determined to prove that happiness isn't something to be afraid of. Somewhere between her chaos and his careful world, Aiden starts to realize something terrifying: He might actually be falling in love. -BookFan33 & Oabiiss_flamboyant

But when Kara Mehta strolls in, mysterious and scheming, it's a recipe for disaster. With the Potatoes at her side, will Aru survive glitter, heartbreak, and her ex-best-friend's chaos-or is this coffee shop about to chew her up and spit her out?

Sixteen-year-old Aru Shah has never belonged anywhere: not in Atlanta, not in Hyderabad, and certainly not at Acharya Gurukul, India's most ruthless elite boarding school, where old money runs the hallways and the ranking board updates in real time like a scoreboard for a game nobody officially admits they're playing. But Aru isn't here for the Houses, or the gambling rings running beneath the east library, or the children of billionaires sharpening their knives on each other's backs in pursuit of Ivy League seats. She's here because both her parents were students at AG, and both of them are dead. Two accidents. Two closed files. Seventeen years of silence, and a sealed letter she's been carrying for six months without the courage to open. The answers are inside the Parishad, AG's nine-seat student council, locked behind seventy-seven years of legacy exclusivity that no scholarship student has ever broken. To get there, Aru needs rank , and at AG, rank isn't just grades. It's social influence, faculty favor, and the ruthless art of making sure the people above you have fewer reasons to stay there. What she doesn't need is Aiden Acharya. Rank one. Parishad president. Heir to the family whose name is carved above the front gate because they built the gate, the school, and everything inside it. The first person who spoke to her at AG. The boy connected to the letter she hasn't opened. The boy she is absolutely not thinking about. As Aru climbs through sabotaged study groups, gambling tables, and alliances that cost more than she expects, she uncovers a secret dangerous enough that the people who buried it are watching to see if she gets close. The Board keeps updating. The clock keeps running. And Aru Shah, 387th rank, daughter of two dead people and zero useful connections, is realizing the game she came to play is much bigger than she thought. Winning it might cost her more than her rank.

Aru Shah's life is perfect. She has the perfect boyfriend, the perfect sisters, the perfect mom. She even visits Kara sometimes, now that they know where she is. But trouble is brewing elsewhere. A magical monster, (Hydra, Mini calls it) wrecked Brooklyn. And the Pandavas have to stop the trouble before it spreads. Percy Jackson is chilling in his house in New York, when a Hydra attacks. Percy knows that he has to stop it somehow, but how? And some weird kids come running out in to fight it? That's some bravery. Characters collide in this telling of a story, where more evil is behind this then you would think.
