Hiya! This an Asahi X Reader fanfiction, set after the ending of the Haikyuu manga! Please don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled!! :) You're a shy girl, never been one to socialise with other people, but when your best friend, Sugawara Koshi, invited you as a plus one to a Karasuno meet up, you couldn't turn him down. You meet a new friend (and potential love interest?) along the way and you learn to share your problems and face your fears beside him.

Hanahaki Disease The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose nether options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate. There is no specific flower for the disease, but it'll either be the crushes favourite type of flower, or their favourite colour. We can only hope for the patients, and pray that the crushes favourite flower isn't a type of rose. Ever since volleyball club started for the year in Karasuno, Hinata Shoyo knew he felt a different way to the Setter of Karasuno, Kageyama Tobio, but he wasn't sure what he was feeling.... Hinata Shoyo is not energetic or bright in this fic. Hinata steps into Karasuno high school and feels nothing but anxiety. He wants to join the volleyball team badly. But he's quiet and quite nervous about asking for anything. Someone better would definitely join if he didn't. The very first day of school he runs into Sugawara Koshi who recognizes him. And with a gentle smile and a small push, Hinata is in the gym. This is the very beginning of Hinata's story. Of how he gains confidence and stands up for himself. How he gains friends that will protect him and help him on the way. (I do not own Haikyuu)
