This is a poem that I have written as part of a project for my HNC Art and Design course. It is a poem based around the theme of wellbeing. The intention for this poem is to have certain messages from it printed onto postcards for people to write to someone they haven't spoken to in a while to reconnect with them. The idea is that it promotes people's wellbeing as a way of not feeling as isolated. I hope the whole poem does this for people as well because I feel that the words within my poem are there to reach out to anyone who might be feeling on there own and not very confident about themselves. The male protagonist of this story is Shravan Malhotra who has problems communicating and adjusting to social communities and conversing with them. He understands he is different but is happy in his own world. He is an excellent researcher in thermodynamics and lives in his world of research till he meets the perfect, beautiful and smart Suman Tiwari. She rocks his world but does she like Shravan the way he wants or just merely cares for him. Will Shravan be able to pursue his love knowing that Suman has a perfect boyfriend who embodies perfection the way she is. Will Suman ever fall for a guy who has challenges and struggles with ASD and ADHD on a day to day basis?

*From The Winner of the October 2019 Nancy Drew Contest* Allen Thorn has ASD, and though he's highly functioning he still has a hard time navigating in the world around him. This is especially true concerning his feelings for a friend of his brother's girlfriend. Being sheltered from middle school in home schooling isn't helping his social Kung-Fu either. Mr. Thorn is going to have to adapt to Houston public schooling in order to graduate. Life however is a bed of roses and roses have many more thorns than petals. Just as Allen's social life is getting established a mystery unfolds that is really a thorn in the side. Then life throws its signature curb balls: bullies, betrayal, blackmail, screw up, et cetra, et cetra into the brew. Can Allen survive Houston public schooling, establishing a love life, and the mystery enveloping his friends? Or is this crimson bed made up of roses, blood or his deathbed?
