She dropped the gun. "Please, I don't want to hurt you, but I also cannot let you hurt anyone else." She lunged, her clammy hands clenched around my throat until there was no more breath. She finally released her grasp and I limply fell to the concrete. She held the gun again, and a shot cracked the sky. A bullet imbedded itself in my collarbone. Tears streamed down my cheeks, "I am so, so sorry." With all of my remaining strength, I shoved my blade into her abdomen. A wretched scream rocked the sky.
