The world is trapped in the suffocating dark clutches of an evil ruler. To gain freedom, Ashe Vena, the last in an ancestral line of woman known as the Keeper, needs to restore her lost powers. Embarking on a journey and accompanied by two companions, Ashe is thrown back into a destiny she has tried hard to escape.

Ashe frequented the race tracks for the fact her horses often ran in them. It's at one of these tracks where she comes in contact with the boy obsessed with betting on horse races and always carries a cigar in his mouth. Now, she must face the consequences of her past actions, which drags, not only her, but her lover as well, into dangerous and life-threatening situations. Who will pay for her sins? Her? Or Ashe?
