It's 2023, and Freya has been living in Los Angeles for three years, just a short distance from Calum, Ashton, Luke, and Michael - people who have drifted in and out of her life for as long as she can remember. She first crossed paths with them back in 2011 in Sydney, when her family lived next door to the Hoods. It was never anything more than familiarity back then -faces that stayed just close enough to recognise but never close enough to define.
