She tries to become friends with her, but all her feelings of sadness vanish when she overhears Ashwing's plots of murder. She soon has to choose between loyalty to her Clan, and to her heart. She can't have both...or can she? Pepper is a rogue who faces no end of trouble. First his mother abandons him, then his father doesn't lift a paw when his brother's being killed by a fox. He moves into ShadowClan territory but is chased off by an angry patrol, though instead of anger he feels only awe. A paticular cat stands out in the party, and he and Bigwing become mates. Pepper is unaware of the threats that Bigwing faces in ShadowClan, seeing nothing wrong with their relationship.
