As he looked around at the aftermath on the outskirts of his lands layered with blood-stained dirt, unidentifiable bodies of friend or foe and even refuging villagers. Even the land was tired of the battles- it was wasted. The king assumed that nothing in front of him would be still alive as he rode pass with his fatigued horse. In the deaf of the wind he heard faint crying, he scanned over the bodies on the blood-soaked mud. His steed jumped and nayed putting the king out of balance. A figure slowly raised up covered in maroon mud. It was too short and slim of statue to be a soldier. As it raised completely up to its own feet and the only pure sight was the pair of the whites and dark eyes. He realized what he was seeing-- a little girl. In her eyes, the king saw the sorrows of the people and the land.
