Won 1st Place in Short Story in the Victory Awards (2018) and in the Rosie Awards (2019). Providence is a colonial horse who was taken by the Redcoats from his owner Joey and from his home in Lexington during the Thanksgiving of 1774. When he returns to his hometown during the Spring of 1775, he becomes a witness to the beginning of the War for Independence, during this first skirmish -- from where it would escalate into war.
