"For some time, I had to conceal the distinctive and special aspects of who I am. It's challenging for me to display the things that I have been made to feel self-conscious of." __________________________________________________________________________________ In order to blend in, Alex , who has autism, hides as many of her characteristics as she can. People are uneasy around her because they don't comprehend either her or autism. Alex hides some of her better qualities by concealing her autism. However, when those portions are aggressive, attractive, and powerful, they can no longer remain hidden. Since the early age of two, her parents knew there was something different about her, they were proved right when Alex was diagnosed with Autism at the age of seven. Nico, her older sister, doesn't understand Autism and just thinks it's Alex misbehaving. Nobody fully understands her, not even her parents or friends. Now when she's transitioning into Secondary School into year seven, her whole world is turned upside down and she has to learn to try to fit in better all over again. Behave like the other students, so she doesn't get found out. At the age of eleven, Alex barely recognises her true self anymore, from trying to forget and remodel herself, she lost herself. Hello everybody! My name is Cassidy Hooper. I'm 25 years old and I am from a small town in North Mississippi. I was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Turner Syndrome at 9 days old. At around 17 years old, I was also diagnosed with a mild form of high functioning autism called Asperger's Syndrome. This is my story. I hope I can help others who share the same experiences and bring them hope!

All her life, Chelsea Kennedy had been isolated from other people. She was different, a little too different for everyone. She would talk softly, wouldn't make eye contact, kept behind her fringe and never ever understood a joke like 'Knock knock'. Then when she's diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome Disorder at four, everyone turns away from her completely. Now, she's fourteen going on fifteen and still the same. She's more clever than most, prettier than most and being bullied by Kelsey Charm, the Queen of Grade Nine. Her two siblings are worried and are determined to make her smile. Then Wallace Turner and Thomas Jenks appear in Chelsea's life. ---- Hi everyone, I'm putting my other stories on hold to do this story. So happy reading! Copyright 2014 © RogueArtist1328
