This fic is going to be pretty angsty and exploring a lot of lore that I pretty much made up because dw lore gives us pretty much nothing to go off of. Sprout doesn't trust Astro anymore, knowing he's still talking to Dandy. (Placeholder summary for now until there are more chapters uploaded! <3)

His mother, Delilah Keen, is the strict queen of this world. Due to the increase in crime and mortality rate, Delilah host a tournament for the townsfolks to see who is fit to be royal knights. Sprout Seedly, your average commoner, joins the competition for money to help his best friend, Cosmo, but when he's qualified for a knight, things change fast. Delilah orders Sprout as Astro's personal guard, in which Astro takes as offense, since he believes he can live without protection, and refuses to be guarded like some gem. Though, as time goes on, he grows found of the knight as he helps him through a lot of different challenges.
