Author's Note - An Introduction to the World of 'Neverbeen Universe' Actually, a vague idea of 'Neverbeen Universe' has been with me for about two decades by now - long before I started writing. And when in 1999 I did, this fantastic world unfolded exponentially further and further and it blossomed with so many and more different life forms, thrilling places to explore and colourful characters to get to know, that it developed its own history exceeding humanity by billions of years into the past and future. My best friends helped me delve into this world, they still do. And thanks to them the sky of possibilities was limitless. To paint the picture of this vast world this short story collection came to be, which is but a glimpse at what 'Neverbeen Universe' really entails; even I can't picture it as a whole - and it would take more than one lifespan to write every nook and cranny down. Because of the complexity this collection is meant to be more of a tessellation than a coherent story. Thus I'd like to simply invite you to come along and have a glance at this variety of literary and artistic snapshots that comprise of different aspects of life and some of the unique characters inhabiting this strange new universe. The following bandwith of short stories can be seen as stand-alone situations, but there might be connections to other 'untold' stories. Your minds and hearts shall become the glue between the mosaic pieces, so they form the picture of your own impression of what my dear 'Neverbeen Unsiverse' is like. Therefore it remains for me to wish you all: have fun reading!

Ravenous Adventures - A Tale from Neverbeen Universe is the story of the Daemon Raphael Raven and his human lover Gene Hoffman, who leave earth to travel the vast, fantastic and magical world of Neverbeen Universe in search of a lost mighty artifact. This artifact, the Timechrystal, enables its wielder to time travel. So Raphael goes to Hell and persuades his best friend Thanatos Vulture, who works as a Reaper on the Otherside, his best rival Phobos Morgenstern, a master seal technician and exorcist, and the witch Ayumu Nakashima to accompany Gene and him on their quest - a quest, which forces the Daemon to confront his past and Gene to face a very dangerous environment for humans. In the meantime the six Reapers have to solve the case of disappearing souls. Together especially the most gentlemanly Thanatos and his former apprentice Azrael find out that a soul thief is up to mischief. So they try their best to catch the culprit and save the endangered souls without breaking their principles of being a Reaper. The races to both the Timechrystal and the soul thief finally culminate when Gene is kidnapped and brought to the distant past. Raphael is willing to do anything to get his most precious person back, while even his Reaper friend is beyond his jurisdiction.

Now fugitives, Raphael and Gene are hunted by their friends, the Reapers Thanatos Vulture and Azrael, who have to ensure the 'undead' pair returns to the Otherside where they belong. In this race to the artifacts, when friends turn to foes and foes turn to friends, who to trust? The continued existence of whole Neverbeen Universe is at stake!

They move as well, stretching out to hold a loved one, or flaring when someone not o cherished comes by. You've never seen anything physical be able to interact with them, but today, you see someone with two charred stumps where their wings should be.
