shinji ikari a boy who has a secret the 13 eva's a much more special then they realize and only one person alive knows their true potential disclaimer: there are references to a bunch of different stories in this one and many OOC characters this will take place in both the NGE AU world where the EVA's are different but the base story of NGE remains the same the characters will be a combination of both the original and their rebuild counterparts and this will also be DITF AU where everything is different the adults and children aren't separated and the children choose to become pilots instead of being indoctrinated also the klaxosaurs will be a problem but they will not be as big of a threat as they were in the original story the plantations will be cities and there will be other changes too

He's never felt emptier in his entire life. Going through life is a chore, piloting the EVA is draining, and he can't seem to get along with anyone. Especially Asuka, the pilot of EVA Unit-02 and his roommate. He always finds himself falling for her, only for his heart to be stomped and spat on. One night, when he's at his lowest low with no light at the end of the tunnel, Shinji makes an attempt at his own life. But when Asuka walks in on him, she is thrust back to the moment her mother made the same decision. As Shinji lies comatose in NERV's hospital, Asuka and Misato wait with baited breath for him to come back. Can Asuka save Shinji from himself? Can she save herself as well, and face her demons that all stem from that fateful day in her past? Can Shinji forgive himself, as well as Asuka? Any way the wind blows, the answers will be revealed.

Instead of just Adam and Lilith crashing on earth a third seed of life arrived on the planet. This one was designated 'Eve' Only this one was much smaller and it only bore one offspring. The fruit of the third seed now decides what to do now that his creator's predecessors have both awakened and which side to take in the fight over the planet. 15 years after the ecological catastrophe known as Third Impact, now said to be caused by Shinji Ikari and his Synthetic Variable Fighter known as Evangelion Unit-01, he is now dragged back across a barren red wasteland by Aska Shikinami. Emotionally and mentally broken, he is imprisoned aboard the IAV Miracle to await trial for his supposed crimes. That is until a shocking reveal from the mysterious clone of Rei Ayanami, known commonly as Rei Q, changes everything a good portion of the world and everyone in Wille (officially the World Security Group) believes about the situation. When this finally comes to Shinji's attention, he reunites with old friends and sets out to finish his own fight that he began 15 years ago before being captured and thrown in stasis for 1/3rd of that time. Armed with this revelation, the shadowy organization known to many as the Triforce, mysteriously reappears on the international stage and a bllody worldwide campaign of surveillance, terror, and violence begins, with any who are deemed a threat to "the bright future" hunted and eliminated. And finally, Shinji will finally confront his father in a final battle between the Triforce and NERV that determine the future of the whole world.

shinji ikari rejected third impact but in the process was sent away as his EVA went through a completely different process, being reborn as the parasite code 113. what will happen when he has to help squad 13, and can he make it home to stop third impact from ever happening to begin with
