Asymptotes Stories

So close yet they never meet. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? You probably heard it from your Math class, about two lines that are so close to intersecting but they never do. Sounds sad, huh? Seraphina thinks so too. Because if she fails, then it will really be sad. Seraphina is a matchmaker, an angel born with the gift to see the red strings of fate, who's destined with whom, and a human's ties with other people. She's on probation as she did something she should have not done. Now, she's given a mission, to make two people meet and connect them. For an angel of Serendipity, easy, right? Hah. Wrong. Because many have tried to connect them yet none have succeeded. Even the Great Kismet, the highest of the angels of Serendipity failed. The other angels then named the two, the Impossible Couple. Or as Fate himself calls them, the Asymptotes. Seraphina wants her wings- and her dignity- back. Being a human sucks, but then again, nothing beats trying to match make the Asymptotes.

Quite impressed by what my fellow authors have put up, I thought of giving a try at story telling. I already have a blog that's kinda psychopathic, bordering on deep forlorn memoirs of a broken heart which is ideally a parallel world I identify myself with (not that I am that broken). Once Upon A Little Breath is a story of two people, two asymptotes that eventually did fall in love, albeit at the wrong time. The characters are have been renamed to Faulty and Found and it is nearly an extention to a poem I wrote long back. Faulty and Found is symbolic of every guy and girl that don't find a common destination. A love story that doesn't have an ending.
