This narrative of a fanfic is a mere inspiration of Samurai_Z's/PurpleNinja257's Songs of War fanfiction, The Second Great War. The scene focuses on Aurora Nestoris as she is summoned to answer a distress call from Ataraxia, the headquarters of the Knights of Ardonia and the source of strength and light for the Ardoni species, for their chances of survival is hanging by an ever so thinly thread as it already has since the first war. By the time she arrives, it's already too late. She is shattered from her shells to her very core when she stumbles upon the burning city and discovers the true source of the terrain's demise along with its refugees. Her fleeting hope dwells in the fires, agonizing to be among the ashes left behind from the carnage. ****On Hold**** In Sunere children are not raised by their parent's, rather by a set of elders in a large complex known as The Growth Center. The plan was supposed to be fail proof, the children were taught to praise the gods, to obey the elder's and most importantly never question anything about the society they were born into. When they came of age they would be tested and sorted into a path based off of the individual's strengths. It was supposed to work- but wherever humanity is involved there is always room for error.
